Donation Dive!

Donation Dive means direct action with maximum impact for seals and the people who protect them. Every few months, we spotlight a trusted seal rescue or conservation organization and invite you to donate directly to their cause. As a thank-you for diving in, we’ll send you a unique seal sticker designed just for this event. Let’s feed some pups together!

Join our Donation Dive and support seal rescue efforts around the world:

How it works:

  1. We announce a Donation Dive featuring a seal rescue organization and a collaborating artist.

  2. You donate directly to the organization via their official website or fundraiser.

  3. You send us a screenshot or receipt of your donation.

  4. We mail you a limited-edition seal sticker as a thank-you for your support.

  5.

    The Organization:

Logo of Aroha Seal Sanctuary with a black on white seal outlined in the waves, with the name and "Western Isles" added around the picture.

    Aroha Seal Sanctuary

Aroha is a new, tiny but mighty charity providing intensive and stabilizing care as a temporary holding facility on the Outer Hebrides (Scotland). Seals stay there 1-5 days on avarage. This may not sound like much, but it saves lives. Rehab facilities are a 6-8 hours journey away (and sometimes not reachable at all if the weather is too bad for ferry crossings). Before Aroha existed, no two years ago, this meant a lot of pups on the Western Isles were doomed, because they were not well enough to make the transport. With Aroha’s care until they’re stable, these pups now have a second chance!

    The Reward:

The Donation Dive stickers w33nus created - a grey seal with a hot water bottle and a wide-eyed harbor seal with a fish plushie.

    Seal stickers made by w33nus

This Donation Dive features 2 exclusively designed seal art stickers by w33nus! They are only available during the time of the event and will never be sold. There is a little detail on each sticker to mark the event, and since Donation Dives are numbered, that makes them collectible

Every donor gets the “warm water bottle” (grey pup) sticker shown to the right. The first 50 donors will get the bonus “emotional support fish” (harbor pup) sticker to the left.

    FAQ

Here’s everything you might want to know before joining a Donation Dive:

Not at all. Please donate directly to the featured seal rescue center or organization. We never collect money or sell stickers. This way, every cent supports the seals – without losing anything to transaction fees.

We cover the costs of the stickers, art, and shipping ourselves, because that’s our way of giving. By offering a small thank-you, we hope to encourage more people to support seal rescue organizations directly.

It’s a way to stretch our impact beyond what we could donate alone.

Just for mailing your reward. We don’t store, share, or reuse your address – it’s deleted after your sticker is sent. If you’d rather not provide it, you can choose a digital reward instead. Either way, we’re glad you’re part of the Donation Dive!

No. Every donation counts, and every donor is eligible for a reward – no matter the amount. We’re grateful for every contribution!

Of course, we hope people will be generous if they’re able – but it’s about showing up for the seals, not spending a certain amount.

It depends on the event! Most of the time, it’ll be a seal-themed sticker – easy to mail and fun to use. Sometimes we’ll send postcards, or even offer a chance to win original art or other surprises.

If you prefer not to share your mailing address, you can choose a digital reward instead. It’s not quite the same as getting a seal sticker in your mailbox, but it’s still heartfelt and made with care.

Yes. We contact each featured organization in advance and invite them to be part of the Donation Dive. Participation is entirely optional, and if they choose not to be included, we fully respect that. We only feature groups that are happy to be involved.

At this early stage, featured organizations are selected based on a mix of practical factors:

    • They are non-profits or charities

    • They’re willing to participate

    • They offer payment options that work for international donors

    • They have a visible presence online, so donors can easily learn about their work

This isn’t a perfect system – and we know that many other incredible organizations deserve to be featured too. As our Donation Dive grows, we plan to open up the selection process to community input, and explore ways to support a wider range of rescue efforts around the world.

Our goal is to build trust and momentum first, so we can eventually dive deeper together.

We believe in full transparency. Every Donation Dive includes clear event details, direct donation links, and public updates. You’re always welcome to ask questions or suggest improvements – we’re all ears and whiskers.

You can also explore past events to see how they’ve worked (unless this is the very first Dive, in which case: welcome aboard!).

    Diving Instructions

Here’s how to join the Donation Dive and claim your reward:

    1. Make Your Donation

Head directly to the website of the chosen organization (or use the links we provide) and make your donation. You’re supporting real rescue and conservation efforts – thank you!

    2. Show Us Your Splash

After donating, send us proof. You can upload one of the following:

    • A screenshot of the “Thank you for your donation” page

    • A photo, screenshot, or scan of your donation confirmation email

    • A screenshot of the receipt issued by the organization’s website

To protect your privacy, please black out, blur, or crop any sensitive info (like payment details or account numbers). We accept PNG, JPG, JPEG, or PDF files (max 5MB).

Need an Example? Here are two sample screenshots how your proof could look like. But any receipt works!

Note: Your proof should match the organization’s confirmation and fall within the timeframe of the Donation Dive. This helps us keep things fair and transparent.

    3. Choose Your Reward

Fill in your mailing address to receive your reward – or check the box for a digital-only option.

    4. Submit & Celebrate

Once you submit, we’ll send your reward. International mail may take a little time, so thank you for your patience!

Every donation makes a difference. Thank you for diving in with us to protect and support seals.

    Donation Dive #1: December 8 - December 22 2025

Our very first Donation Dive featured 2 reward stickers! We were able to raise around £2000 together for Skegness Natureland Seal Hospital, and donors joined from around the world – take a look at the donor map of Donation Dive #1 here! 🌍❤️🦭
An interview with the artist can be found here

    The Organization:

Logo of Natureland Skegness Seal Hospital - a blue circley with a happy, round seal in the middle.

    Skegness Naturland Seal Hospital

Located in Lincolnshire, UK, between two big grey seal colonies, Natureland Seal Hospital cares for around 70 grey & harbor seal pups each year. This family-run facility has been rescuing seals for decades, with unusual patients like walrus, porpoises or oiled birds thrown in.

They are only funded by visitors and donors and need our support.

    The Reward:

    Seal sticker made by Haru

Donors could choose between a seal art sticker sent in the mail, or a digital reward. The Seal Signal supports human artists and sends an exclusive and unique little artwork, made specifically for each Donation Dive! It is only available during the time of the event and will never be sold. There is a little commemorative detail on each sticker, and since the events are numbered, that makes them collectible

For Donation Dive #1, the stickers feature a grey seal pup and a harbor seal pup, both species most commonly rehabilitated by Natureland Skegness Seal Hospital. They were designed by Japanes artist Haru, well known for their artworks showing rescued seals.
