Donation Dive means direct action with maximum impact for seals and the people who protect them. Every few months, we spotlight a trusted seal rescue or conservation organization and invite you to donate directly to their cause. As a thank-you for diving in, we’ll send you a unique seal sticker designed just for this event. Let’s feed some pups together!
Join our Donation Dive and support seal rescue efforts around the world:
How it works:
We announce a Donation Dive featuring a seal rescue organization and a collaborating artist.
You donate directly to the organization via their official website or fundraiser.
You send us a screenshot or receipt of your donation.
We mail you a limited-edition seal sticker as a thank-you for your support.
Claim Your Reward Sticker
This is the emergency donation event for Zeehondencentrum. Donate here to join! Please fill out this form to claim your reward sticker(s).
Zeehondencentrum Emergency Fundraiser
Zeehondencentrum in the Netherlands, Europe’s largest seal hospital, is facing bankruptcy in less than two weeks. This would not only mean a significant loss of rehab places for seal pups of the Wadden Sea, but also losing of knowledge built over decades, losing a driver of rehab and seal research across Europe, and losing unique expertise and capacity for surgery on seals that won’t be easy to replace.
The Seal Signal initiated a fundraiser: You can get seal art and stickers delivered to your mailbox if you send in a screenshot of your donation receipt. It is a real community project: Over 20 artists have come forth and donated artworks to support Zeehondencentrum, and this is your chance to get stickers and more based on these artworks.
how to participate:
Donate directly to Zeehondencentrum. They have multiple options to donate, but only one counts toward the stretch goals (see below), because this is the one I can track:
➤ Donate to the Zeehondencentrum Community fundraiser, Team Seal Signal
You can claim stickers with all other options too, but they won’t work to unlock stretch goals:
➤ Donate to Zeehondencentrum gofundme
➤ Donate via Zeehondencentrum website
➤ Adopt a seal
If you do not have the means to donate, you can still help by sharing. And everybody can sign Zeehondencentrum’s petition for help!
what you get:
Over 20 artists from around the world have donated their artworks to be made into stickers. Many of them show former or current beloved Zeehondencentrum patients, and all of them are full of seal love! The Seal Signal prints them as stickers to give away to donors.
basic contributor reward
➤ You will get seal mail in your mailbox containing stickers from the community art team.
The final sheet layout is not set yet. But you will get to choose the sheets you want from a predefined selection that will contain all artworks in the end. The base load is at least two sticker sheets per contributor. More can be unlocked in stretch goals!
premium contributor reward
➤ For a donation of € 120 or more, you will get all the stickers and every other item we unlock.
This is a steep price, but international shipping is expensive and The Seal Signal has limited means too, but will cover these costs if the donation really makes a difference for the seals!
stretch goals:
🔒€ 3000 on the community fundraiser: cards
If we reach € 3000 on the community fundraiser, every contributor gets an additional postcard print! Some of our community artworks will be made into prints and added to each Seal Mail shipment. Premium tier contributors (€ 120 or more) get all cards. They will be printed as soon as this goal becomes unlocked.
🔒€ 4000 on the community fundraiser: more stickers!
If we reach € 4000 on the community fundraiser, every contributor gets one additional sticker sheet!
With this donation sum it makes sense to pay a little bit more postage and add more weight.
🔒€ 5000 on the community fundraiser: even more stickers!!
If we reach € 5000 on the community fundraiser, every contributor gets two additional sticker sheets!
shipping:
The event will run for two weeks. After that, with all artworks revealed, contributors will be contacted about their sticker choices, and shipping will begin.
If we reach the cards stretch goal, there might be a small production time added.
Shipping is covered by the Seal Signal, but it will take a little while. Shipping to the US, the UK, and Germany will happen domestically, the rest of the world via international mail. Everything is packaged by a tiny team of 1, so I hope you can be patient while I am a fulfillment center.
Thank you, everyone who donated, all the artists who generously let me use their art, everyone who signed the petition, and every single person who fights for Zeehondencentrum!
FAQ
Here’s everything you might want to know before joining a Donation Dive:
Do I donate to you?
Not at all. Please donate directly to the featured seal rescue center or organization. We never collect money or sell stickers. This way, every cent supports the seals – without losing anything to transaction fees.
Why are you giving away free stickers?
We cover the costs of the stickers, art, and shipping ourselves, because that’s our way of giving. By offering a small thank-you, we hope to encourage more people to support seal rescue organizations directly.
It’s a way to stretch our impact beyond what we could donate alone.
Why do you need my mailing address?
Just for mailing your reward. We don’t store, share, or reuse your address – it’s deleted after your sticker is sent. If you’d rather not provide it, you can choose a digital reward instead. Either way, we’re glad you’re part of the Donation Dive!
Is there a minimum donation amount to get the reward?
No. Every donation counts, and every donor is eligible for a reward – no matter the amount. We’re grateful for every contribution!
Of course, we hope people will be generous if they’re able – but it’s about showing up for the seals, not spending a certain amount.
What kind of rewards do you send?
It depends on the event! Most of the time, it’ll be a seal-themed sticker – easy to mail and fun to use. Sometimes we’ll send postcards, or even offer a chance to win original art or other surprises.
If you prefer not to share your mailing address, you can choose a digital reward instead. It’s not quite the same as getting a seal sticker in your mailbox, but it’s still heartfelt and made with care.
Are the organizations okay with this?
Yes. We contact each featured organization in advance and invite them to be part of the Donation Dive. Participation is entirely optional, and if they choose not to be included, we fully respect that. We only feature groups that are happy to be involved.
How are featured organizations chosen?
At this early stage, featured organizations are selected based on a mix of practical factors:
They are non-profits or charities
They’re willing to participate
They offer payment options that work for international donors
They have a visible presence online, so donors can easily learn about their work
This isn’t a perfect system – and we know that many other incredible organizations deserve to be featured too. As our Donation Dive grows, we plan to open up the selection process to community input, and explore ways to support a wider range of rescue efforts around the world.
Our goal is to build trust and momentum first, so we can eventually dive deeper together.
How do I know this is legit?
We believe in full transparency. Every Donation Dive includes clear event details, direct donation links, and public updates. You’re always welcome to ask questions or suggest improvements – we’re all ears and whiskers.
You can also explore past events to see how they’ve worked (unless this is the very first Dive, in which case: welcome aboard!).

Donation Dive #2: June 3 - June 17 2026
During our 2nd Donation Dive, we managed to add £3150 to the fundraiser of our chosen seal organization! Two cute seal stickers were sent out to donors who supported this event by making a donation.

The Organization:
Aroha is a new, tiny but mighty charity providing intensive and stabilizing care as a temporary holding facility on the Outer Hebrides (Scotland). Seals stay there 1-5 days on avarage. This may not sound like much, but it saves lives. Rehab facilities are a 6-8 hours journey away (and sometimes not reachable at all if the weather is too bad for ferry crossings). Before Aroha existed, no two years ago, this meant a lot of pups on the Western Isles were doomed, because they were not well enough to make the transport. With Aroha’s care until they’re stable, these pups now have a second chance!

The Reward:
Seal stickers made by w33nus
This Donation Dive featured 2 exclusively designed seal art stickers by w33nus! They were only available during the time of the event and will never be sold. There is a little detail on each sticker to mark the event, and since Donation Dives are numbered, that makes them ✨collectible✨
Our stickers were: “warm water bottle” (grey pup) shown to the right & “emotional support fish” (harbor pup) to the left.

Donation Dive #1: December 8 - December 22 2025
Our very first Donation Dive featured 2 reward stickers! We were able to raise around £2000 together for Skegness Natureland Seal Hospital, and donors joined from around the world – take a look at the donor map of Donation Dive #1 here! 🌍❤️🦭
An interview with the artist can be found here.
The Organization:
Skegness Naturland Seal Hospital
Located in Lincolnshire, UK, between two big grey seal colonies, Natureland Seal Hospital cares for around 70 grey & harbor seal pups each year. This family-run facility has been rescuing seals for decades, with unusual patients like walrus, porpoises or oiled birds thrown in.
They are only funded by visitors and donors and need our support.

The Reward:
Seal sticker made by Haru
Donors could choose between a seal art sticker sent in the mail, or a digital reward. The Seal Signal supports human artists and sends an exclusive and unique little artwork, made specifically for each Donation Dive! It is only available during the time of the event and will never be sold. There is a little commemorative detail on each sticker, and since the events are numbered, that makes them ✨collectible✨
For Donation Dive #1, the stickers feature a grey seal pup and a harbor seal pup, both species most commonly rehabilitated by Natureland Skegness Seal Hospital. They were designed by Japanes artist Haru, well known for their artworks showing rescued seals.
